any picture of john mulaney not in a suit is so cursed…whenever i see pictures of him as an snl writer in old flannels and t shirts my mind can’t even comprehend it. my brain straight up cannot reconcile the grungy clothes with that being the salt and pepper diner guy. it’s like seeing an octopus sitting in a tree. is it technically possible? sure. but is it unsettling and difficult to understand? absolutely.
