like it came out in 2009 when the majority of gen zers were in elementary school or younger and it was such a good time considering it being post-9/11 world (which as a 2002 z-er i have never known otherwise) and it just felt really positive. barack obama just became president, pop music was at its catchiest point (im really not a pop person but 2009 was an exception imo it has so many memories), it was a time right before the big boom of advanced apple consumerism; the majority of apple products were ipods, as iphones at the time were really archaic, there was minimum celeb discourse as far as i can remember but i didnt have social media, everyone seemed happier
and its such a good shoegazey bedroom pop song that sounds like its about good warm feelings and not wanting to leave them so you keep dreaming about it when the real world starts leaving it behind and gets scarier
almost 10 years later and it still makes me emotional
