Before we get into art theft/misuse, DON’T BUY FROM @freetomprostheticsofficial! they are a packer/stp company that’s been around since 2015 that has an F rating on bbb.org. they have 43% negative reviews, are not accredited, and they’ve failed to respond to 23 of 25 complaints where customers claimed to have been ripped off.
I did the math, if these people never got their refund/product freetom made away with approx 4.5k and since they are a Limited Liability Company (LLC) you might never get your money back even if you sue them and win (the same goes if you need to sue them over art issues)
They reblog a lot of LGBT art on Tumblr, but they also repost it to their company instagram & use it as free promotional art via IG tags, without giving artists any/proper credit.
They did this to me without permission and didn’t source me correctly.
Weirdly enough, the only reason I found out about it is because they IM-ed me out of the blue (I’d never heard of them before) informing me that they already posted it to their IG. but when I asked them to take it down (or simply repost it with proper credit so my IG could get the same tag exposure as theirs did since at that point their repost already had 100 likes), they ignored me, blocked anyone who said anything about it on their IG, and disabled the comments to the post instead of taking it down. It was eventually taken down by either IG or Freetom, but hours later they messaged me back saying I wasn’t acting like an adult and they only “help people who want support”. The beginning of their message is them getting mad over me telling them their current procedure is wrong & you have to ask an artist’s permission beforehand before using their content.
That’s actually not true at all – our queer artist friends have been wholeheartedly behind their art being posted and this is the first time we’ve had an issue. We support our community – all you had to do was DM us* like an adult and we would have taken it down immediately – it was shady and weird, but don’t worry we’ll never be posting your art again. We only work with folks who want support. Thanks!

Then, hours after sending me that, they launched an IG campaign asking artists to send them art to “feature”, promising to “give all the cred”.
Please do not let this company use your art. Not only are they terrible to artists, but they are terrible to their customers.
Don’t let Freetom Prosthetics use your art to scam more LGBT people out of $200 products.
