I hate how men’s toxic behaviors get normalized by their girlfriends/wives.
Or I hate how women are taught to normalize men’s toxic behaviors? Like, my friends
bf was getting mad at her because she was spending time with me (for studying)
and not him. And he’d call her yelling on the phone, and she’s all like “Well, you
know how he gets! He’s just really paranoid” and I’m like, no that’s not okay. Not
when he does it every study session. I’ve seen relationships where husbands act
like children when they’re hungry, or seclude themselves from the family for
their “man cave”, or just exhibit really toxic masculine attitudes. Some men slam
doors, throw stuff around when they don’t have things their way and it’s all, “well
you know how your father/dad gets. Just give him some space.” Or if their bf/husband
is possessive, “he just worries about me, you now how he is”Like NOO. That is bad. That is terrible and so many of these
actions just get normalized. Get written off as silly and romantic. Or, some
type of attitude or action that is familiar and expected of all husbands. I can
list so many more and it just pissed me off…
