Moon Aesthetics

imstuckinarut-astrology:

An Aries Moon would be aflame, so bright that you would have to cover your eyes with your hands, peeping through the cracks so not to go blind with all its warmth and vivaciousness. You would feel the heat on your face, and the Moon would be an orangey red colour.

A Taurus Moon would be encased in a rock solid, earthy case, where wildflowers and grass blooms in muted colours, pretty and relaxing to look at. The Moon wouldn’t wax and wane, but stay steady, round all through the month. The surface would look like forest land, fertile, and abundant.

A Gemini Moon would have polka dot playing cards littered all over it, cogs, springs, wheels, and the inside of the lost and found draw. It would change shape and colour every time you look at it, and it would send paper waving downwards, on it written a witty tale or joke.

A Cancer Moon would have volatile waters, yet also be sometimes soothing and gentle, sounding like the trickle of a stream. It would be blue and green and grey, the colours merging in places and separate in others. It would wax and wain much, ever so slightly changing shape every time you open your eyes wide to encompass such a revealing into the subconscious.

A Leo Moon would glow like that of a Chinese Lantern, bright, yet not so that you would have to shield your eyes. It would appear less like a ball of fire and more like a ball of light, a lamp, nourishing you in even the darkest of days. And there was that time you were almost certain you saw it smile at you.

A Virgo Moon would sprout plants and weeds and the clutter of the natural world, yet be delicately decorated with light petals of the Summer. The vines that cover this Moon are delicate too, weaving in and out in an intricate patters that one may deem meticulous. There are such details that it can be hard to see from the naked eyes.

A Libra Moon would be shaded with summer blossom, and have the sweetest aroma of sugar, caramel and white flowers. There is a balance to this Moon, shaded in perfectly and harmonising all the colours together, pinks and blues. Blossom grown fruitfully, in big bushes that litter the ground with a dusting of heaven.

A Scorpio Moon is covered with dark waters, with whips of bubbling red mixed into the deep seas, enchaining, yet oddly soothing. The water is contained, yet you can see from the naked eyes the sheer power and tenacity contained within it, like the iron will of all the souls of the world. A message in a bottle is afloat, speaking of secrets that should never be revealed.

A Sagittarius Moon would crackle and flicker with the sounds of campfire stories and roasted goods. Then It would flicker strongly, evenly, yet at times, burst forth with a more explosive flame. It would be a soft orange colour, and leaves and petals would dance on the tips of the flames.

A Capricorn Moon would be encased in ground, a shell, in an Earth like substance similar to sturdy mud, a charcoal and soothing brown concoction. Wildflowers bloom here, and the landscape in mountainous and rocky, yet the Moon never changes shape to us on Earth, withstanding much without even the slightest of give.

An Aquarius Moon is electric blue, sizzling away with a static one knows would burn to the touch. It alights, it flickers, then it eases away, revealing a volatility and a shock to the system. It whirs all night long, not stopping to pause for thought in the emotional realm, but sizzling for a nature of revolutionary forward thinking and feeling.

A Pisces Moon trickles with all the colours of the rainbow, and reflects back to us like the scales of a fish. You can see your face in the reflections, and sometimes, you don’t always like what you see. Yet you can also see the sparkling dust surrounding the Moon, spreading outwards, upwards, to a place not near here. Perhaps it may be heaven.
