Okay so real talk financial aid is seriously fucking me over and I’m on the verge of not being able to go to school again. I just got an email saying if I don’t have my payment in by Tuesday, I’m going to be dropped from all of my classes. I don’t even know if they’re going to give me a payment plan, so I either am gonna owe $1100 or $4400. I’ve got a good job with a decent income and a good raise almost definitely on the way, but I just don’t have that much right now.
I’m at a point where I have two options. The first is to just accept that I’m not going back. I know that wouldn’t be the end of the world, but it would be horrendous on my mental health.
Option two is putting up my paypal. I had to do that way too much last year, and while I paid back everyone who wanted reimbursement in full, it was still one of the most stressful and embarrassing and humiliating things I’ve ever done. I know that if I am able to get this one payment done, I’ll almost definitely have my financial aid processed by the second, so it would be a ton cheaper, and I would be able to pay back anyone who helped out quickly. That being said, I’m really worried about asking for help, because even if I’m paying people back I know it’s likely going to upset a lot of people and be really stressful and it’s just a really worrying thing to have to be considering.
If I did ask for help, I would repay anyone who didn’t otherwise specify that they wanted to be repaid.

I’m in a really weird position but honestly I really don’t want to ask if I’m gonna get hell about it because honestly I feel like that would be more stressful for me.
Okay so I’m gonna post it but I really need to emphasize two things
-You do NOT have to donate or help. I know there are more urgent causes, not everyone can donate, and nobody HAS to donate. This is only for people who can and want to help. There is no obligation or pressure or anything.

So the good news is, I got a solid raise at work last night! It’s not something that will help in time for this payment, but it’s going to help me for future payments and help me repay anyone who wants to help me out as a loan!
