Friendly reminder that this man is my hero

I’m so glad he did this because this is a man who himself has created content and who also tried to get LGBTQ+ rep into his show and struggled massively and couldn’t do so in the way he wanted. He understands how incredibly difficult it is to get rep into these kinds of shows and understands first hand all the gatekeepers who exist within the industry and the hoops they have to jump through. It’s not just some journalist or blogger ranting behind a keyboard about how showrunners and writers need to “try harder” etc he knows how difficult it is to get this stuff into shows and he knows how significant the rep is in these shows is, even if it’s ambiguous, to the long road of getting explicit LGBTQ+ rep within this kind of medium.
