Thing is, the Tumblr format of microblogging is really good. It essentially allows every user to be the curator of their own content gallery with tags and posts of any kind and from anywhere on the site with little to no limitation on length or presentation (if you know a little html).
But functionality-wise and community-wise, the site is a fucking disaster.
