If you are US-American: Please vote today.
It is important to get a democratic majority. If you ask yourself why some non-US citizens care: We have to share the planet with you. Your politics affect us. Trump lead to an increase in far right politics all over the world. Nationalism, xenophobia, sexism, and racism are on a rise. Far right extremists use him as an example and role model.
The changes in foreign politics and his opinions about climate change affect all of us. The world is a more dangerous place. We are in the middle of a trade war with ever increasing vocal threats and insults that might lead to more.
We are afraid. We can’t trust the USA any longer. The world order is destabilized and not for the better. The EU now turns to China as their partner. A country where human rights are disrespected. Events like the murder of Saudi-arabian journalist Khashoggi are only vaguely addressed, because the international community fails to find an united voice.
We need stable and sane USA. Not for their military power, but for their voice of reason.
So please vote democratic, so that we can all hope for a better future. We need you.
