I’ve seen those humans and aliens posts and I wanted to add my thoughts.
Humans are dreamers filled with spite. That’s it. Humans always love coming up with little things like “wouldn’t be cool if’s” and “it’d be awesome if we could’s”
But they’re usually passing thoughts that nobody builds on.
It’s when someone says “you can’t do that” or “that’s stupid” or the best one “that’s impossible.”
Because that’s when humans do it.
I bet the Wright brothers were just chilling with their friends when one of them mentioned how cool it would be to fly like birds, and their friends laughed at them and said they were stupid.
And they were like “Fucking watch me.”
That’s where progress is made. Anytime a passing thought is mocked is where the genius erupts.
I can imagine Ben Franklin standing outside with a kite shouting “they said I wouldn’t do it.”
So if aliens ever discovered earth, telling humans about an astroid belt that can’t be navigated, the humans would already be plotting their course.
And any uninhabitable planet should expect visitors when humans are told they can’t go there.
The surest way of getting a human to do anything is to tell them they can’t.
when are male celebs gonna stop wearing boring ass plain black and white tuxedos and suits to award shows like step it up they all look the same I don’t care who made it. I wanna see some hunger games Capitol style fashion
They need to take a page from John Boyega’s book. That purple suit. Hot damn.
Not forgetting the all red, and the one with the blue blazer…….
In case people missed the red suit and his blue look:
And then the gorgeous purple Decepticon one:
damn son
I see your John Boyega and would also like to add Michael B. Jordan
also, it’s not red carpet but I refuse to ignore these beauties:
So not to derail, but this is what’s called a one handed keyboard. Obviously, that means it’s designed to be used with one hand. While this is something that a few professionals who do hella typing and mouse clicking prefer, as it means not switching your right hand back and forth between input devices, the primary purpose is, of course, to allow people with the user of my one hand to have maximal use of their computers. People missing a hand, as well as people with partial paralysis are the primary market.
They come in right and left hand versions, and this itt board is one of the more expensive models, but the curvature really is (according to reviews) excellent for helping prevent fatigue and repetitive strain injuries on the one hand that’s doing the work of two.
Just thought I’d share. Accessible computing is a seriously under appreciated field and while I admit the keyboard is quite striking to look at, the engineering and consideration that has gone into its design really cannot be over stated.
hey you know that trope where a guy ends up being destined to do some great task that a woman spent her whole life preparing for and she must train him until he surpasses her and he eventually beats her while sparring and theres sexual tension?
if Broadway doesn’t want bootlegs floating around then they need to get their act together and make legal recordings. you can say all you want that theater is meant to be enjoyed live, but the fact of the matter is not everybody can get to NYC to go to a Broadway show. not everybody can afford to take the time off of work and buy a plane ticket to NYC and buy a night in a hotel AND get the ticket to the show. people want to see the shows, that’s why there’s a bootleg market in the first place, but it’s unreasonable to expect that everyone has the time, money, and ability to make it out to the one place in the world to see something on Broadway, especially if it’s a limited engagement. so record that shit, slap some subtitles on it, and sell it so we can buy it legally.
Reblogging this every time I see it. Copyright is important for creators but it should not support cultural elitism. Affordability and accessibility of cultural content is key unless we want to live in a very divided society.
