My favorite place to get ink refills is Imagination International. They have every color of Copic available and each size including a bunch of accessories. A bottle of ink has about five refills (at least) goes for $9.
So you could spend $35 on five different markers or $14 for one and bottle of ink.
BONUS: They also sell IC screentone! Their variety is huge, the sheets are large (10×14 at least), and the prices are fair! I’ve really been enjoying IC’s stuff.
Shipping is fair and fast, and their website also serves as a remarkable resource for artists who need tips or just want to print out some coloring pages.
Side note: They’re based in Eugene, OR, too, which is home to my alma mater and makes me love them even more! (Go Ducks!)
I’m constantly meeting artists who complain about how expensive Copics are, and I say “Yeah, but if you factor in how long they last and how cheap the refills are…” and they say “YOU CAN REFILL THEM?”
How can you not know that Copics are refillable? Its one of their major selling points! Its literally the first thing that come sup if you google the brand. It says so on most of their packaging. Almost anywhere you can buy Copics you’ll see the refills for sale too. They even look like refillable pens (because they are)!
I’m not trying to shame anyone, but I’m consonantly amazed that so many artists who use Copics don’t know this. So please spread the word. tell your friends.
for real, though, why do recipes consistently tell you to use less herbs and spices in than you should. fuck your “two cloves of garlic,” fuck your “half teaspoon of cinnamon,” and you can absolutely go to hell with your “dash of black pepper”

I have never had a desire to see this movie until this moment
so not to start a whole convo about this but i think one of the reasons i (and a lot of ppl) love halloween so much is that almost everyone i know in the US celebrates it! across race, religion, language, location, upbringing, gender, sexuality, etc. halloween is a completely open holiday that requires almost 0 cultural knowledge to get celebrating. i had neighbors from bangladesh who saw me put out a jack-o-lantern and their young son got rly excited and asked what it was for and the next day they had a pumpkin on their stoop he’d drawn a face on. it took 1 interaction to share a little piece of fun with someone with a vastly different cultural experience and background than me.
of course I won’t speak for everyone and I understand there may be some people who opt out based on one or more of those above factors, and I know there are some problems like offensive costumes, but for the most part in my experience growing up in the US just about everyone I’ve met loves Halloween and participates in it with equal enthusiasm
and in this country that’s just……..not common
so when people in europe and australia etc. make posts like “americans made me hate halloween bc they got so annoying about it”
it’s like man……..just let us enjoy ourselves thanks!!!!
