In the book, Sophie possess a certain kind of magical power – she makes things real by saying them. She can lay spells just by saying them. When she made hats, and she told a hat that it would make a rich young man fall in love with it, a rich young man fell in love with the woman who bought it. When she told a hat it would make some woman look beautiful, everyone knew the mayorâs wife looked positively radiant in it. Itâs what drew the Witch to her hat shop in the first place.  When she cursed out a bucket of plant food, it turned to potent weed killer. When she told herself she might as well be an old woman, when she told herself she was doomed to fail, when she told herself she was plain and boring and no one would ever notice her, no one did.
When Howl tried to break the spell on Sophie, and he tried many times, he always failed. Not because his magic was less powerful than the Witchâs, but because it was less powerful than Sophieâs.

Iâm opening up commissions for small wire sculptures. I know these little guys arenât typical commission fare but donât worry, itâs my first time selling them like this too, so weâll get through the tricky bits together! But first, enjoy this janky picture I made to help me explain things.
Price is most dependent on two things, how hard it is to make and how hard it is to ship, with left being simple and right being about as intricate as it gets. The prices above are to help you approximate what youâll get depending on what you ask for, the final price is going to be something decided on once I understand exactly what youâre looking to get.

My specialty is animals and mythical creatures but Iâm happy to work on furry or pony pieces as well as pieces that are somewhat risque, though nothing explicit please. (it doesnât work well in the medium anyways.)
An important word of warning is that there are some things that will not translate to a wire sculpture no matter what. Intricate markings, fine details or facial features, coloring, etc. These are things that just donât work. What DOES translate very well is kinetic energy, body language and emotion. Put simply, I canât make your sculpture smile, but I can fill it with joy.
