The meme about black panther you reblogged disregards the ancestral connections that descendants from African slaves have with each other, regardless of familial connections. I know you’re not black so I wouldn’t expect you to know all this but be more critical of memes like that

oh damn. you’re 100% right, i didn’t know that. i’ll try to be more critical of memes like the one i reblogged from now on. would it be better to delete the post, or should i just leave it be/find a post that explains the faults in the meme and reblog that too?

I spent the most magical afternoon

I went for a walk in the nature, and I took a path that was completely new to me.

I kept walking, when I came across a cute house surrounded by flowers. A little child was watering the plants, and a woman insisted to offer me a glass of water. I didn’t know her, but she was a friend of my uncle’s sister, apparently. We talked for a bit, then she told me to follow her, because she wanted to show me the laboratory where her husband produces honey. There he was, working.

He gave me a piece of honeycomb to chew on, then he showed me the complete process to make honey. Finally, he gave me a jar as a gift. The woman explained to me how to go back to town, and she walked me to the bridge I would have to cross. That looked surreal too.

I feel like the house won’t be there if I ever go back. It was beautiful.

It’s almost as if schools push and ideology that benefits schools.

Bruh, trades are in high fucking demand right now too. Between now and 2020 there are suppose to be 300,000 more jobs and that’s just for welder.

Shit, they’ll pay for you to learn how to do it.

I just finished high school and got a untility job in a factory and I have almost no experience. They’re gonna train me for everything plus it has full health benefits.

Trades are fucking great.

My husband is a welder, and is very very good at it. He got hired by a locksmith company pretty much just by walking in and going “Yes I can weld.”

All of the other guys there were great at locksmithing, but none of them were trained welders, and they needed someone who could build custom doors and frames.

They trained him to do lock stuff too, so now he can weld AND pick locks.

The owner of the company, when he handed out Christmas bonuses, looked at him and went “Dude we literally cannot fire you because we’d be screwed so here’s your bonus and also we’re giving you a raise.”

Welders are in desperate demand.

Blows kisses to this post.

Anyway, learn a trade, unionize, wear your PPE, memorize OSHA’s phone number.

There are times when I really regret not learning welding. I could still change that?

We live in prime welding territory.

Fun Facts About Honey

thewannabeee:

some-kind-of-bad-pun:

thewannabeee:

– Honey is mostly sugar (WoW!) it is 80% sugar and 20% water (double WoW!)

– There are over 20,000 species of bees, but only 4 make HONEY

-Honey is the ONLY food that contains all the substances you need to survive (Including WATER)

-Children under the age of 1 should not eat honey… why? because sometimes it contains bad stuff called botulism and can cause them to get botulism poisoning (that sucks, even infants should taste the deliciousness that is honey)

-Honey will crystallize under optimum temperatures (this has a lot to do with how you store it)

-Bees produce honey to eat during the winter when there are no flowers and no nectar for them.

-A honeybee would only need an ounce of honey to be able to fuel a flight around the world (this makes for a very cultural bee!)

-A typical beehive can make up to 400 pounds of honey a year! (Wowza!)

This reads like it was written by a bee and I’m 100% here for it

This is singlehandedly THE BEST compliment I have ever received 🙂

the fact women are viewed as being more sexy at 15 than 40 is the creepiest thing in the world

Horrifying really

Looking through the notes, and people seem to be justifying this as evolutionary biology. They believe that human females are most fertile at the age of 15. Considering your body isn’t even done growing at this age, I find this incredibly hard to believe. Really? The best time for you to push a baby out of your vagina is when your periods probably aren’t even regular yet? Like the younger you are, the more likely you are to DIE from child birth. Well anyway, most websites claim you’re most fertile in your 20s, peaking at 27… So congrats on trying to blatantly justify pedophilia by using bullshit science.

Pregnancy/maternal issues is the LEADING killer of girls aged 15-19 globally.

Not only is “15 year olds are more fertile” a creepy, pedophilic belief, it’s also an extremely dangerous one.

A 3 month old baby girl : *Spreads her legs while playing around on her bed like any normal functioning other baby does since babies need to develop the muscles and bones in their legs by moving them*

Straight Parents™ : Now now dont act like such a whore little lady™ 🙂 Here let me hold your legs closed together just like how all proper ladies’™ legs should be :))

Literally every decent person : What,in the everloving fuck,is wrong with y’all .

This is the kind of shit im talking about.Stop sexualizing kids ugh.

bkhvjabeh WHATKJEHTQ

hey sexualizing kids is fucking disgusting, bodies are bodies and nudity isn’t inherently sexual, ESPECIALLY IN KIDS

Straight culture is sexualizing any normal action your kids do because y’all refuse to not be creepy about your views on sex.

What she says: I’m fine
What she means: What time period does A Series of Unfortunate Events actually take place? There is mention of horse-drawn carriages, but also of motor cycles and automobiles, but the way the three Baudelaires dress is indicative of the nineteen hundred-something’s. Characters are dressed in both early twentieth century clothing as well as up to date clothing. There is mention of computers, fax, and phones but some things seem rather dated. What time in history is it??

I remember reading an interview with Lemony Snicket when I was a kid, where they basically asked him that exact question.

His answer was “the year of the Rat”.

when i watched the film i was extra confused because i thought they were Victorian but count olaf was drinking a slurpee so i just lost all sense of direction

I think that’s the point

Lemony Snicket’s entire career was based on fucking with everyone
