the disappointment yall feel with the MET gala is exactly what you should expect when yall ask a bunch of protestants to just make catholic aesthetic happen

protestants: i was inspired by the sisitine chapel for this piece

me, a catholic: but where is the sin? where is the undying fear of God? where is the sadistic passion for suffering? where is the overwhelming clash between lust, gluttony and the fear for God’s judgement upon the sins I am bound to fall for? what a waste

i love how you guys talk shit about cartoon style and animation but what the fuck is with this phineas and ferb obsession, The Ugliest Childrens Show Ever Animated.

Fun fact: In one interview the creators mentioned that one reason everyone’s heads are shaped like really recognizable shapes (Candace is the letter p, Phineas is obviously just a triangle) is so its way easier for younger kids to draw them. Not being able to to draw your favorite characters when you’re little can be really frustrating and kind of put you off drawing all together.

I was running the cashier and drinks at the restaurant i work at and this mid/older 50′s looking guy walks up and orders a tecate

since tecate is a mexican beer, I offered him a lime

What happened to George Takei’s sexual assault allegations?

the accuser has since admitted it wasn’t true after people started picking apart his story and finding inconsistencies. george takei has forgiven him.

unfortunately, with every movement, there is a chance for a liar to try to join. i feel terrible, because i initially believed it.

So it’s not so much that he was purposefully lying about it, but his memories of the event were foggy and ended up being influenced by news media surrounding Cosby etc.

Toxicologists are of the opinion that he was not drugged (an accusation that only came up after the initial media contact) and that he likely passed out for a few moments due to orthostatic hypotension exacerbated by drinking (aka the drop in blood pressure you sometimes experience when you stand up too fast and you get light headed).

He admitted that he didn’t actually remember if he had been groped or not, but stands by the statement that he said no and takei immediately backed off. So it kind of comes down to whether or not the sexual advance was inappropriate in and of itself given that context. The investigation goes on to speculate about the nature of the gay dating scene in the 80s and what this meant for what type of signals takei may have been getting to think he could go forward with making a move, so take that as you will and make your own opinions on that.

Regardless, its inaccurate to say that the guy was straight up lying about it, he moreso admitted to not really remembering and being susceptible to influence/the way memories morph over time. At this point it’s kind of clear that he was not drugged at the very least, and that takei backed off as soon as he realized that his advances were unwanted. Whether or not takei’s sexual advances were appropriate in the first place is another issue.
