Im just sorry the election didnt turn out better for u guys. I know a lot of good came from it for america compared to what it has been, but Its still pretty scary for us in the rest of the world on the outside looking in.

I know that it definitely looks scary looking outside in. take it from me, this is major progress. i’m gonna speak from a texas perspective again lol, but texas was effectively purple for this election, which is huge.

still angry, but i have hope that things will get better. I think enough people are pissed off that they are getting ready to fight for change.

Hey it’s me the Texas/Memley anon again. I just want to say that even though I live in Florida right now I mailed in my vote back to Texas and supported Beto with everything I had even though I couldn’t do much (being several states away). Even though he didn’t win (and Andrew Gillum lost here in Florida) I always appreciated seeing your Beto posts. They reminded me of all the good people who live in Texas. 1/2

my cat(s)!

my first girl, her name is midnight, I’ve had her since my second grade. she’s fat and i love her. very sassy, very lap cat.

My other cat, his name is North Dakota aka The Void. he adopted us back in like july and he hasn’t left. he’s very sweet and loving. young, full of energy. I picked the name The Void, but my brother didn;t like it. so, we switched to North Dakota because North Dakota Isn’t Real, there is only a Void.

Astronomy facts!

i guess the most interesting one i have off hand is that neutron stars, white dwarfs, and brown dwarfs technically aren’t stars. like logically, they are stars (duh), but from how we categorize items and what criteria we use to define what a star is, they don’t make the cut because they don’t fuse raw helium at their core. they can fuse other elements together, such as deutrium, but they don’t get hot enough to actually fuse into helium. so, scientifically, they aren’t stars. but they’ll always be stars in my eyes

Theatre fact!

there’s this performance of Macbeth (really it’s based on it but we’ll say it IS a performance of macbeth) called Sleep No More, and it’s super cool. You can follow around any character in the play as they go through the plot of the show. like you put on masks and follow them around into rooms, it’s not just a sit and watch in a theater. it’s super cool and I really want to go!

Hey! I remember a while back (and multiple times since) you mentioned considering astronomy! I know you’re doing theatre (best of luck! You seem very passionate about it and I hope it continues to give you that passion), but what would you say is your favorite part of astronomy? NGL I like exoplanets and astrobiology. Thanks!

ooh that’s a toughie. there’s a lot to love, and if i could say everything i would, but i have to go with exoplanets as well, but also into more of the astrophysics with like gravitational waves and black holes!!! also magnetism but magnetism is fucking nuts and impossible to understand

Is it just me or have the porn bots gotten worse in the past week? Like i used to be able to scroll through notes and there were more humans than bots but now it feels like theres more bots than humans… & does anyone know if reporting them does anything?

I’ve noticed that too, maybe it’s because i’m paying attention more? but there could be more.

i’m pretty sure reporting gets the account deleted or something similar. I’ve not done it in a while so I’m not totally sure
