Worldwide, withstanding that Christianity is the most populous religious group, Christians are the most persecuted religious group. Obviously, this is not so in the USA, but in some countries, including Islamic ones, Christians are regularly killed for their faith. This might give you some perspective on why American Christians think the way they do.
Trust me when I say that deep down that the vast majority of White Conservative Christians do not give two shits about Christians in the Middle East or around the world. They care about using the suffering of PoC Christians to justify their awful rhetoric, and would be willing to discard them without a second thought.
White Conservative Christians were pretty damn silent when ICE rounded up Chaldean Catholics to be deported right back into Iraq.
