That is LITERALLY PETERS REMAINS on Tony’s hand – Like?? what the hell does he do?? Start to wipe them off on his jacket, but then realize that it’s ALL he has left of the one boy he thought of as a son when he so desperately wanted children??? Cradle his hand against his heart in mourning and disbelief (“I’m sorry, kid, I’m so, so sorry, Peter.”)?? Desperately grab at the ground where his dust lies????? Dude just THINK about the intense flashback Tony’s gonna get if he’s a father later on down the line when one of his kids says: “Dad, I don’t feel so good. I think I’m sick.” He’ll only freaking be able to see his first boy he loved as a son who literally died in his arms and be reminded of the fact that he thinks he failed little Peter?? Yeah no thanks
how do people on tumblr become so interesting that people actually willingly ask them about their life like i’ve been here for 3 years and i’m pretty sure half of you don’t even know my name
5.5 years on this website and i challenge one of my 6k followers to know my name without checking my blog
Hawaii is talking about banning sunscreen that’s harmful to coral and I think that’s very environmentally sexy of them
No ones gonna say a thing about me calling environmentalism sexy huh
Good commentary, A+ should be used more often.
Also screw oxybenzone
Hurray for skin cancer I guess
“Sunscreen that is bad for coral” == “all sunscreen”
I’d rather die than kill the environment, any day.
That’s very environmentally sexy of you
Basically, you just should not use sunscreen that contains oxybenzone if you are going to swim in the ocean, hang out near the ocean, etc.
Instead you should use mineral-based sunscreen (zinc oxide) or biodegradable sunscreen. Mineral-based sunscreen is generally better for you, too.
That said, the Hawaii ban died because of lobbying by sunscreen manufacturers. Because of course it did.
Of course. Because money and profit is sooo much more important.
I looked up the ingredients to the pretty much only sunscreen we can use, was really glad that it’s one of the zinc oxide ones. So if anyone wants a recommendation, Vanicream works very well and has not irritated the skin of anyone in my family. But just to be safe you might want to check the ingredients for yourself, since not everyone has the same skin irritations?
Their lotion is pretty good, too. Though I just use the lite version, since it’s not thick enough to make me hate putting it on my hands. I guess it’s a sensory issue?
I’ve honestly never heard of anyone reacting to mineral-based sunscreen. I suppose it’s possible, but zinc is an essential mineral anyway, so anyone who reacts to it is likely to have other health problems.
Celtic complexion makes a great sunscreen. It uses zinc, and is formulated for very fair skin, so it’s going to give you full coverage no matter your skin tone or type. It’s very gentle and stays on well when I go swimming or diving.
the key words you want to look for ARE NOT “organic” or “natural” etc – these things can still be damaging to marine environments! Instead look for “reef safe” or “coral safe” sunscreen, but check to see if they have the research to back them up (if they’re legit they will have this)!
Stream2Sea is my personal favorite – works well and is reasonably priced

Like literally the only reason we didn’t go extinct is because we are aggressively social creatures who community organized and helped each other when faced with disasters that drove other species over the brink.
(Like we’re so aggressively social that we looked at APEX PREDATORS and went ‘they look soft! Friend????’)
(The answer was yes because wolves are also aggressively social and they adopted the strange tall not-wolves just as eagerly.)
humans @ wolves: holy shit these things are so cute i wonder if they’ll let us pet them?

let me tell you guys something that ACTUALLY happened in my screenwriting class last week
one of the female writers in our class is writing a feature about this gang of teenage girls who sort of become vigilantes and murder men who harass women (that’s a shitty logline of it but it’s actually fucking awesome and highly stylized and over-exaggerated like tarantino in a good way bc i fucking hate tarantino). ANYWAY their first kill is this guy named taylor. taylor is one of the girl’s boyfriends. it is heavily implied and the writer confirmed that he abuses and rapes her. not explicitly seen, but she has bruises, there are scenes implying it etc.
so. she wrote the part where they kill taylor. and one of my professor’s comments was about how he felt like he didn’t hate taylor enough.
to which me and my female friend were like um what?? we hate him. he fucking raped and abused her. wE HATE HIM. HE IS A HORRIBLE PERSON.
and my prof was like well yeah i hate him but i don’t HATE hate him. and we argued about it. so he took a poll of who hated taylor. ALL of the girls in the class raised their hands. none of the boys did. when he asked who didn’t hate taylor all of the men raised their hands. and me and my friend started laughing because of COURSE they did.
and my prof was like why are you laughing and the writer was like “i think they’re laughing at the gender difference in that answer” and my prof was like “well, from my male perspective, i don’t think i’m being sexist”
WHAT.
first of all did you hear that sentence at ALL do you understand how paradoxical it is?????
second of all, no. just no.
and then my prof went on to say “i feel like we need to see taylor be horrible. like bad solution, he kicks a dog”
evidently a man can abuse and rape a girl and not be hated, but if he kicks a dog then he’s PURE EVIL
